DE LA DISCUSSION NAIT LA LUMIERE

La décision de ce blog et sa forme, pour partager avec vous relève de cette assertion.
Nous étions peu, au début.
Comme une vague qui s'amplifie dans le partage du lien avec ARMAN, nous sommes devenus beaucoup.
Et de plus en plus.

Ce blog est devenu notre lieu, à nous ses enfants, de recueillement, de célébration.
Comme vous le savez nous avons été privé de cette matérialité: les cendres d'ARMAN sont restées un voeu pieu à faire lettre morte...

Sauf ici, dans le quotidien de cette relation qui le garde vivant.
Nous n'avons pas de mots pour vous remercier...

Le désir de continuer de structurer sans faillir ce grand corps relationnel qui perpétue la mémoire de l'homme et de son oeuvre, ce site est un moyen de  le signifier...
C'est la raison pour laquelle nous avons imaginé pour la FONDATION A.R.M.A.N. une architecture de membres honoraires reconnus et engagés dans la culture de cette décision: continuer de porter au dehors et faire connaître toujours mieux: ARMAN.

C'est ainsi que nous avons constitué différents "bureaux" d'activités de compétence.
Chacun est en charge de d'apporter et collecter les connaissances afin de donner à voir un corps de mémoire suffisant à la réalisation des buts de la Fondation.
C'est la réunion de ceux qui ont été proches d'ARMAN, de ceux dépositaires de cette mémoire de l'homme et de l'oeuvre.

Chaque bureau est investi d'une tâche singulière, avec un "rapporteur", en charge de proposer les dossiers de réflexion et missions qui seront soumis aux décisions du Conseil de Fondation.

Nous avons délimité d'ores et déjà quelques domaines qui sont bien sur en interaction et se recouvrent mutuellement (la liste n'est pas close!).
LE BUREAU DES "ARCHIVES VIVANTES": qui s'occupe de collecter et retranscrire les entretiens avec les personnes qui ont partagé le parcours d'ARMAN, la mémoire de l'expérience.
Pour répondre au but principal de la Fondation et réunir les informations encore disponibles par une transcription écrite de ceux qui n'écriront pas et prendre soin de la transmission orale.

LE BUREAU DES ARCHIVES TECHNIQUES: collecte auprès des assistants d'ARMAN pour témoigner de ses techniques de travail.
Et se préoccuper du comment transmettre cette passation du savoir .
Pour permettre la restauration et la reconnaissance de sa manière de faire.

LE BUREAU D'ARCHIVES SUR LES MEDIAS: collecte des archives photographiques, filmographiques, sonores, vidéographiques, écrites (courriers sur ou de la main d'ARMAN).

LE BUREAU DE LA COMMUNICATION: collecte des articles de presse et promotion des manifestations dans lesquelles la Fondation sera impliquée.
LE BUREAU DE LA REALITE DU MARCHE: en charge du renvoi historique et de la réalité de la place d'ARMAN sur le marché de l'art (ventes aux enchères, dialogue avec les acteurs réellement impliqués et existants dans le développement de ce marché aujourd'hui).
LE BUREAU DE LA PASSION DE LA COLLECTION: trace du tonus et ses effets de l'engouement d'ARMAN pour les collections.

LE BUREAU DE LA REPRESENTATIVITE MUSEALE: en liaison avec les institutions, pour faciliter toute action en adéquation avec l'idéal de la Fondation, localisation d'oeuvres, prêt, documentation etc...

LE COLLECTIF DES AMIS DE LA FONDATION: qui réunit ceux qui se reconnaissent dans cette famille de sensibilité, qui trouvent légitimité de cette appartenance identitaire dans la Fondation, et qui, nous espérons, seront nombreux à alimenter ses missions.
(Nos amis niçois y retrouveront la matérialisation d'une proposition qui leur tenaient à coeur!).
Et si d'autres suggestions pour nous permettre de réaliser l'idéal de la Fondation vous venaient, n'hésitez pas à nous les faire parvenir!
De la discussion naît la lumière...

L'absence totale d'échanges dans la particularité de notre situation successorale restera dans l'histoire la cause majeure à ne pas réussir à trouver un terrain d'entente pour continuer de travailler ensemble sur l'OEUVRE D'ARMAN.
Et ce n'est pas faute de notre bord d'avoir essayé de faire entendre ce qui ressemble pourtant juste à... du bon sens.

Enfin et pour dire le fond de ce qui nous motive, je reprendrais un des premiers commentaires sur ce blog : oui, nous avons envie depuis la terrible nouvelle de la perte de l'homme et artiste exceptionnel qui a marqué notre siècle à jamais, de vous "inviter à vous asseoir à notre table"... C'est SA table.
Pour le bonheur de pouvoir parler de LUI, de SON TRAVAIL, ensemble.
Et parce que vous ne le savez peut-être pas: il aurait adoré ça...

The decision to make this site in its form to share with you belongs to this assertion.
In the beginning we were few.
Like a wave that amplifies in sharing the bond to ARMAN, we have become many.
And more and more.

This site became our place, for us, his children, for meditation and celebration of his memory.
As you know we have been deprived of the materialization of such a place: ARMAN's ashes have remained a wishful thought and dead letter....

But not here, in the day by day relation that keeps him alive.
We don't have the words to thank you...

The desire to continue without failing gives structure to this big relational body that perpetuates the memory of the man and his work, this site is a means for us to say it...
That is the reason why we have envisaged for the A.R.M.A.N. FOUNDATION an architecture of honorary members acknowledged and engaged in cultivating this goal: to continue carrying to the outside and make ARMAN  be known always better.


This is why we have established a number of specialized "boards" for their different competencies. Each one is in charge of bringing and gathering knowledge in order to feed a body of memory needed to achieve the goals of the foundation.
It represent the gathering together of those who have been close to ARMAN, those who are guardians of this memory of ARMAN AND HIS WORK.

Each board is responsible for a particular task, with a rapporteur in charge of proposing issues to think about and missions that will be submitted to the foundation council.

We have already defined several domains that will of course be interacting and mutually overlapping (this list is not final!)
THE BOARD OF THE "LIVING ARCHIVES": will take care of collecting and transcribing interviews with people who came across ARMAN's life, his memories and experience. This is to fulfil the principal goal of the Foundation and gather all available information through a written transcription from those who may not ever write and take care of the oral transmission.

THE BOARD OF THE TECHNICAL ARCHIVES:  to gather from ARMAN's assistants the memories of his working techniques.
And be address how to transmit and keep this knowledge.
To allow the restoration and acknowledgment of his way to work.

THE BOARD FOR THE MEDIA ARCHIVES: to collect all archives, whether photos, films, sound, video, written (mail about or from Arman's hand).

THE BOARD FOR COMMUNICATION: collecting press articles and promoting events in which the Foundation will be involved.
THE BOARD OF THE MARKET REALITY: in charge of the historical referral and the reality of ARMAN's place in the art market (auctions, dialog with the people really involved and existing in the development of this market at the this time).
THE BOARD OF THE PASSION FOR COLLECTIONS: trace of the tonus and effects of ARMAN's fancy for collections.

THE BOARD FOR REPRESENTATIVITY IN MUSEUMS: in link with the institutions to facilitate any action in agreement with the Foundation ideal, localization of works, loans, documentation, etc...

THE COLLECTIVE OF THE FRIENDS OF THE FOUNDATION: will gather together all of those who find themselves as belonging to this family in sensitivity, who find their legitimate identity with the foundation and who, we hope, will be many in bringing matter to its missions.
(Our friends from Nice will find here the materiality of a proposal for which they cared a lot!)
If you have others proposals  and ideas to achieve the Foundation goals, do not hesitate to bring them up!
From debate comes light...

The complete absence of such debate in the particular situation we are in with respect to the succession, will remain historically  a major cause in the failure to find an agreement to be able to continue working together on ARMAN'S WORK.
And this is not for a default on our side in trying to make understood what looks just like...common sense

At last and to say the depth of our motives, I'll cite one of the first comments posted on this site: since the terrible news that we lost the man and exceptional artist who marked his time for ever, we really would like to "invite you to seat with us at our table"... It is HIS table.
For the simple happiness of being able to talk about HIM and HIS WORK, together.
And because maybe you don't know , but he would have loved it...
